What to expect
This is a practical workshop where you will discover the tradition of using herbs to purify and scent the home. Create your own natural, herbal cleaning and aromatic products.
From medieval times, strewing herbs like sage, tansy, violet, rose, mint, marjoram, hops, lavender, juniper, rosemary, chamomile, sweet woodruff and many more were mixed with rushes to cover stone and earthen flooring.
During the course of this event we will show you how to use some of these traditional strewing herbs in contemporary ways. You will create and take home your own unique cleaning spray, and a reed diffuser, which will provide natural uplifting botanical fragrance throughout the home.
Need to know
This workshop is at The Alde Valley Spring Festival site. You will receive a welcome email one week prior to the event with further information. All materials provided. We will break for about half an hour when seasonal hot drinks and snacks will be provided.
