This is a seasonal woodland based workshop focusing on creativity and seasonal experimentation. You will be guided through the craft of creating your own smudge stick to take away, and learn the properties and folklore of the woodland plants around us. We will gather herbs to make botanical preparations and join around the campfire on to share a warming homemade soup and bread. Based at White House Farm, Great Glemham, within the stunningly diverse New Wood Hidden Glade.

This is a 2 day workshop of seasonal woodland based creative sessions. Over the course of the weekend you will learn the natural craft of spoon-carving from Nick Gosman of The Gosman Spoon Company. You will also take part in a foraging and identification walk with Sarah Frances and be guided through the process of making a traditional wooden mallet. We will gather round the campfire on both days to share a warming homemade soup and bread.

You will learn the properties and folklore of willow and hazel, and how to safely harvest the materials using hand-tools. A full day of festivities and a celebration of local, independent makers. Events begin from 12pm and culminate in carol singing and a Christmas light switch on at 6pm.
Join us at Aldeburgh Parish Church to support local makers 10am onwards.
The town’s Christmas lights ceremony will take place at the Moot Hall at 4pm.
