What to expect
Join our Autumn workshops in the forest: Spoon carving, Wooden Mallets & HErbal Foraging Walks
This is a 2 day workshop of seasonal woodland based creative sessions, running from 10:30 am till 5pm, Saturday and Sunday. Over the course of the weekend you will learn the natural craft of spoon-carving from Nick Gosman of The Gosman Spoon Company. You will also have the opportunity to take part in a foraging and identification walk with Sarah Frances. We will gather herbs to make lunchtime preparations and to take home. During the weekend you will also be guided through the process of making a traditional wooden mallet. We will gather round the campfire on both days to share a warming homemade soup and bread.
With a focus on habitat awareness, these small groups are carefully curated. You’ll be immersed within this pristine area of natural beauty with lofty Douglas firs, a spiritual Yew grove, elderly Larch trees, established Elms, ancient coppices of Sweet Chestnut and Hazel, characterful Oaks, fungi & lichen, tranquil birdlife, and the beloved homes of many woodland creatures.
