What to expect

A balm is a versatile salve or ointment forming a semi-protective aromatic remedy that can be made in a variety of ways to suit a variety of uses, from a chest rub to a pulse-point solid perfume or traditionally as a cure-all remedy balm for scrapes and grazes. This workshop explores the different ways of making plant-based natural balms, and their uses. We also explore how to incorporate specific herbs of our choice into the balms.

Need to know

This is a small, relaxed, practical workshop that focuses on experimentation and recipe making. We will be using The Herbernaculum workshop at White House Farm, with the added open-spaces of the covered teaching area adjacent. We have set up these workshops with smaller group sizes, in a friendly and relaxed open-air environment. All materials will be provided and you will be able to take away a set of your finished balms. A welcoming cup of hot, herbal tea will be provided on arrival.
